Fairley House is a day school for children with Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia). The prime aim is to improve the basic literacy and numeracy skills and to establish the self-confidence of dyslexic children. There is a 1:3 staff/pupil ratio with small group and individual remedial teaching and a structured, multi-sensory approach. The National Curriculum is followed throughout the School with emphasis on IT, Science and CDT. Children normally remain for 2-3 years and are carefully prepared for appropriate onward placement.
